Jesus tells the story of a man who gave his servants some of his money to take care of while he was gone away on a trip. To one servant he gave five thousand dollars, to another he gave two thousand, and to the third, he gave one thousand, "depending on his abilities". When the man returned, he found that two of the servants had used the money wisely. In fact, they had doubled the amount the man had given them! However, the third had only buried his one thousand dollars. While he was able to return to the man everything he had invested with him down to the last cent, the man told him he could have done so much more if he had only been less afraid of disappointing him.

This is a wonderful picture of what our awesome God can do with what he invests in each one of us. The Bible tells us that God gives each of us certain "abilities" to use to further His message. When we invest these abilities for the Glory of God, He can then multiply them many times over. Not only in our own lives, but in the lives of those who worship with us. The men and women who make up Ten Talents Ministries exhibit this attitude as they lead in praise and worship, not for their own glory, but solely for the Glory of the Lord.
